Description
The P400 is an entry point for a small business moving from paper timesheets to recorded clock-in and clock-out events. Staff use assigned PINs at the device, and a supervisor manages employee records and timecards through the clock's built-in software. It is suited to a straightforward attendance workflow where a dedicated clock at the workplace is useful.
The base configuration covers 25 employees. Optional upgrades add capacity, Web Punch access and other functions as needed. This distinction helps keep the starting setup clear: the presence of a badge reader or network connection does not mean badges, remote-punch licenses and every advanced reporting feature are already included.
Features
- 25-employee base: a defined starting capacity for a small team.
- Keypad PIN entry: employees clock in and out using assigned identifiers.
- Built-in software: manage the time clock from a compatible connected browser.
- Flexible connection choices: Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB support different installation arrangements.
- Timecard and attendance reports: review recorded hours before preparing payroll.
- Expandable configuration: purchase employee capacity and feature upgrades as business needs grow.

Common questions
Are proximity badges included?
No. The P400 supports compatible badges, but this base offer lists them as separate purchases.
Can employees use a phone to clock in?
That requires the optional Web Punch feature, sufficient licenses and a properly configured access workflow. It is not included in the base configuration.
Do I need to install time-clock software?
The core management software is built into the clock and accessed through a browser. Particular export utilities or connection methods can have additional setup requirements.
Does it require a monthly subscription?
Core built-in timekeeping does not require a mandatory monthly software subscription. Upgrades, accessories and optional support services are separate costs.
