Description
The Vari Drafting Chair brings adjustable seating to a raised workstation. Its taller seat range suits tasks performed above ordinary desk height, and the footring gives your feet a place to rest when they cannot reach the floor.
A padded seat contrasts with the breathable mesh back. Adjustable arms and the pivoting backrest let you adapt the chair to the way you work, whether you are reviewing drawings, using a counter-height workstation or taking a seated break at a standing desk.
Features
- Raised seat range: The listed seat height adjusts from 24.5 to 32.5 inches for higher work surfaces.
- Adjustable footring: Set the ring to support your feet instead of leaving your legs hanging.
- Mesh back and padded seat: An open mesh back allows airflow while the cushioned seat supplies a softer sitting surface.
- Adjustable arms: Change the arm position to suit your work and the underside clearance of the desk.
- Rolling base: Casters allow repositioning around the workstation.

Check the chair against your desk
Measure the underside of the work surface as well as its top. A drafting chair needs enough room for your thighs and armrests, and a footring should support your feet without forcing your knees upward. Seat-height numbers alone do not establish a comfortable fit.
| Raised work surface | Compare your preferred seated working height with the 24.5–32.5 inch range. |
|---|---|
| Desk apron or drawers | Check knee space and whether the armrests can clear the underside. |
| Floor and movement | Choose a suitable floor-protection arrangement and keep the chair's rolling path clear. |

Set the footring after the seat
First position the seat so your hands meet the working surface comfortably. Then adjust the footring to support both feet. Recheck the armrest position and backrest as you change tasks. The chair's adjustments help accommodate a workstation; comfort still depends on your proportions and the desk itself.
Common questions
Is it suitable for an ordinary low desk?
Its 24.5-inch listed minimum seat height is taller than typical desk seating. Measure carefully; it is primarily a chair for raised work surfaces.
Can the footring move?
Yes. The footring is adjustable so you can change foot support after setting the seat height.
Are the arms adjustable?
Yes. Check their position against the desk apron before deciding how far the chair can tuck underneath.
Does this chair replace standing?
It provides a seated option at a higher workstation. You can alternate tasks and positions according to your own comfort.
