Description
The ADS-3100 gives a dedicated workstation a practical way to turn contracts, receipts and other paperwork into digital records. Its 60-sheet automatic feeder keeps batches moving, while dual-sided capture reads the front and back together rather than requiring a second feed.
This is the USB model in Brother's desktop scanner range. It fits workflows where a computer handles file naming, review and storage, with an additional USB-memory-drive destination when needed. Driver support helps compatible scanning applications use the hardware directly.

Speed is rated on letter-size pages at 300 dpi with advanced processing disabled. The 60-page feeder rating uses 20 lb paper; actual capacity varies with the originals.
Build a dependable scanning routine
Choose a higher-resolution setting for small print or image detail when it is needed. For ordinary text records, start with a sample at 300 dpi and inspect it before committing to a large batch; larger files are not automatically more useful.

Common questions
Is the ADS-3100 wireless?
No. Its computer connection is USB. Brother's model-specific interface specification lists neither Wi-Fi nor Ethernet for the ADS-3100.
Does it scan both sides at once?
Yes. Duplex capture scans both faces in one pass, with a rated maximum of 80 page images per minute.
Is 1200 dpi its optical resolution?
No. The optical resolution is 600 × 600 dpi. The higher 1200 × 1200 figure is interpolated output, which does not add new optical detail.
Will it work with Windows, Mac or Linux?
Brother provides model support across these platforms, but available drivers and applications differ. Check the current ADS-3100 download list for your exact system and intended application.
