- Dual gas-spring monitor arm
Description
The Platinum Dual Monitor Arm lets two screens move independently rather than sharing one fixed stand height and angle. Raise the display used most often, angle a secondary screen toward you, or rotate a compatible screen for reading long documents. Removing the original stands also opens up the area immediately below the displays.
Compatibility depends on weight without the original stand, the rear VESA pattern and the desk construction. Follow the instructions supplied with the hardware: Fellowes’ published installation manual specifies 1.5–8 kg per display. Set the gas-spring tension after installing each screen so the arm holds its position without drifting.
Features
- Independent movement: Each monitor has its own arm for height, reach and viewing-angle adjustment.
- Gas-spring support: Adjust tension to suit the weight of the installed screen.
- Detachable VESA plates: Attach the plate to a compatible display before placing it on the arm.
- Two USB ports: Convenient desktop connections when the integrated leads are connected to a host.
- Mounting choices: Clamp or grommet installation can suit different desk layouts.
- Cable management: Arm routing helps keep video and power leads together.

Check the mount before removing the old stands
Confirm that the desktop can accept concentrated clamping pressure. A deep apron, cable trough or beveled edge can prevent the clamp from seating correctly even when the nominal desk thickness is within range. For grommet installation, compare the existing hole and location with the included mounting instructions.
| Lightweight displays | The minimum supported weight matters for gas-spring balance. |
|---|---|
| Monitor cables | Leave slack at every joint and check the cable length at full extension. |
| USB functions | These connections do not turn the arm into a video dock or universal laptop charger. |
Common questions
Can I use one monitor in portrait orientation?
Yes, if its physical dimensions and cable clearance allow rotation. Check the display’s own instructions as well.
Do the USB ports provide display output?
No. Connect monitor video cables to the computer or an appropriate dock separately.
Will the arm fit every 32-inch screen?
No. Screen weight, VESA pattern, depth and the available arm spacing still need checking.
How much weight should I plan for?
Use the 1.5–8 kg per-arm range in the published installation manual and confirm it against the instructions supplied with your hardware.
