The LS800 creates a large picture from a low cabinet near the screen. Align it carefully with a flat screen for your chosen image size.
Epson rates both color and white brightness at up to 4,000 lumens. The three-chip LCD engine uses pixel-shifting 4K PRO-UHD processing. Integrated streaming and Yamaha audio provide a straightforward starting point, with HDMI inputs for external sources.

Cabinet and screen placement
Use a rigid, level surface and check the official projection diagram before fixing a screen to the wall. A UST-compatible ambient-light-rejecting screen can help in a lit room; it is a separate purchase. Flatness and precise alignment matter because small placement changes affect the picture geometry.

Match the room and audio connection
Maximum light output is useful when the room is bright, but lower output can reduce fan noise when less brightness is needed. Independent testing also highlights the limits of dark-scene contrast, so room lighting and expectations matter for movie viewing.
For gaming through HDMI 3, Epson states that audio is not output through HDMI 2 ARC. Use the built-in speakers or the supported optical-audio connection when planning sound for that input.

Common questions
Is this a native 4K projector?
Its LCD panels are native 1920 × 1080. Epson's 4K PRO-UHD system uses pixel shifting and processing for compatible 4K sources.
Is a screen included?
This listing is for the projector. Choose a separate screen designed for ultra-short-throw projection if required.
Can it accept 4K gaming?
It supports compatible 4K signals up to 60 Hz. The higher 120 Hz input option is at 1080p on HDMI 3, not 4K at 120 Hz.
Will a soundbar work through ARC while gaming?
Epson's manual says HDMI 3 audio does not pass through HDMI 2 ARC. Plan an appropriate optical connection or use the built-in sound for that input.
