The Datalogic GD4430-BKK1S Gryphon handheld barcode reader is black, comes with a USB cable and a stand, and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D), two-dimensional (2D), and Portable Document Format 417 (PDF417) barcodes. A laser produces lines of light in an omnidirectional pattern to scan barcodes at different angles. A green spot and a four-dot aimer can help the user aim the barcode reader for accuracy. The barcode reader's USB cable can be plugged into the USB port of a computer or another host system (sold separately) to transmit barcode data. The stand enables the barcode reader to be used in a fixed position. Motion tolerance enables the barcode reader to scan barcodes with accuracy even when in motion. A motion sensor automatically switches the barcode reader to handheld mode when it is picked up. The barcode reader weighs 6.9 oz. and measures 7.1 x 2.8 x 3.9 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It can withstand drops of up to 5.9' on a concrete floor.
