- Headrest-free mesh ergonomic task chair
Description
The iOO’s angular back and separate lumbar section give it a distinctive profile among mesh task chairs. It is designed around a compact control arrangement, combining seat and recline functions in one main lever while retaining separate adjustments for the back and arms. The all-black frame offers a restrained alternative to the white-frame iOO.
This listing explicitly excludes a headrest. The seat and back are mesh, with a lower support section that responds as you move. The chair is worth comparing if you prefer several manual fit controls but want them grouped within easy reach rather than spread among multiple levers.
Features
- Mesh seat and back: provide suspension surfaces without a conventional upholstered seat cushion.
- Responsive lumbar section: moves with the sitter within the lower part of the back structure.
- Single-lever mechanism: groups seat-height, depth and recline-lock operations.
- Back-height adjustment: helps position the lumbar area relative to your torso.
- Multi-directional arms: adjust for height, width, depth and pad angle.
- No headrest: keeps this configuration focused on the main back and seat support.

Check minimum height as well as maximum height
The iOO’s published 20-inch minimum seat height is an important fit check. At the height needed for your keyboard, your feet should still have secure support. A footrest may help if the desk requires a raised chair position, but it does not change the space available between your thighs and the underside of the desk.
| Leg support | Compare the minimum seat height with a chair that already fits you. |
|---|---|
| Seat depth | Keep clearance behind the knees while sitting back against the lumbar section. |
| Arm position | Adjust width and pad angle to match your keyboard and mouse positions. |
| Reclining room | Allow space behind the backrest and test the tension before choosing a lock position. |
Common questions
Is a headrest supplied with this chair?
No. The product is explicitly the no-headrest configuration. Headrests shown on other iOO product pages or manufacturer-family illustrations are optional equipment.
Is this the fabric-seat iOO?
No. This listing specifies black mesh with a black frame. A fabric-seat iOO is a different configuration.
What does the single lever control?
The manufacturer’s iOO guide groups seat height, seat depth and backrest tilt locking into the main control. Arms, back height and recline tension still have their own adjustments.
Is this automatically the same as a newer Ergohuman Xtreme?
Do not assume identical specifications from related branding or appearance. Use the iOO model guide for this chair, and verify exact part numbers before ordering accessories or replacements.
