Description
The PT74 is designed for users who want to tune individual parts of a chair rather than rely on a single recline setting. Its standard multi-function mechanism separates seat angle, back angle and rocking movement. A shaped upholstered back and fabric-covered cushion create a familiar task-chair appearance.
This listing is the armless Basic Black version. An open-sided seat can be useful when moving close to a desk or working across a broad surface, but it also means the desk setup must provide any forearm support you need. OM places the PT74 in its average-to-medium size group; compare the actual measurements rather than treating that label as a fit guarantee.

Plan an armless workstation
Removing armrests changes how you use the desk. It may reduce interference with a drawer apron, but the chair’s base and seat still require clearance. Bring the keyboard and mouse close enough that you do not have to reach across the work surface.

Adjust one setting at a time
Begin with seat height and depth, then set back height and angle. Try the seat-angle control with your feet supported, making small changes. Finish with rocking tension. Separate controls give you more choices, so changing them one at a time makes it easier to understand what improves the fit.

Are armrests supplied?
No. This is explicitly the no-armrests configuration. Arm options offered elsewhere in the PT collection are not included.
Is the chair blue or black?
The supplied upholstery is Basic Black. The catalog image uses a blue chair example alongside the black fabric swatch to show the selected color.
Is this the PT74-RV or a quick-adjust synchro model?
This listing identifies the standard PT74. Features from the separate RV/executive-synchro or quick-adjust mechanism options should not be assumed.
Does it arrive ready to use?
Assembly is required. Follow OM’s supplied instructions for the base, cylinder and seat assembly before adjusting the chair.
