Description
Prepare coil-bound workbooks, internal manuals and client reports with the TruBind TB-SD600MB. The handle punches the pages, while the powered roller helps thread compatible plastic binding coils through the punched document. Separate controls let you set up the hole position before running a batch.
A 4:1 pitch means four holes per inch along the binding edge. The oval holes provide clearance as the coil is inserted and pages turn. Fully disengageable punching dies let you avoid an unwanted partial hole at the edge of a smaller document, while the open throat supports carefully aligned wider sheets.
Features
- 25-sheet manual punch: rated using standard 20 lb paper; use smaller batches for heavier stock.
- Electric coil insertion: a powered roller speeds the threading stage after the coil is started by hand.
- 4:1 oval-hole pattern: designed for matching plastic spiral binding coils.
- Adjustable depth margin: 2.5, 4.5 and 6.5 mm settings position holes relative to the paper edge.
- Disengageable dies: select which punches operate to suit the document size.
- Included crimping tool: cuts and finishes coil ends after binding.

Punch capacity describes one punching batch. It is different from the thickness of the completed bound document.
From loose pages to a finished book
Check that the pages turn freely before producing the full run. A coil that is too small may bind tightly even when the page count appears to be within the machine's maximum capacity. Empty the waste tray regularly so paper chads do not obstruct punching.
| 1. Set up | Choose the side guide and margin setting; punch a scrap sheet to check the first and last holes. |
|---|---|
| 2. Punch in batches | Keep the pages aligned and use fewer sheets when punching heavy covers or thick stock. |
| 3. Choose the coil | Use 4:1 plastic coil sized for the actual document thickness, including covers. |
| 4. Insert and finish | Start the coil by hand, use the roller within its diameter limit, then cut and crimp both ends. |
Plan your binding supplies
Coils, front covers and back covers are separate consumables. Match the hole pitch first, then select coil diameter and color for the finished document. This machine's powered function is coil insertion; punching still uses the manual handle.

Common questions
Is this an electric punch?
No. The punch is operated manually. The electric roller assists with inserting the plastic coil.
Can I use combs or twin-loop wire?
The machine is designed for 4:1 plastic spiral coil. Comb and wire binding use different hole patterns and finishing mechanisms.
Can the powered roller insert every coil size?
No. The manufacturer specifies powered insertion up to 7/8 in diameter. Larger coils must be inserted manually.
Does 25-sheet capacity mean a maximum 25-page book?
No. Punch a thicker document in aligned batches, then bind the assembled pages with a correctly sized coil.

UPC 742415921265 identifies TB-SD600MB, not the lower-capacity TB-S20AP. Manufacturer pages and manual editions differ on punch length and die count, so those version-sensitive figures are not asserted here. Binding capacity and the smaller powered-inserter limit are distinguished.
