- LED desk task lamp with wireless charging base
Description
Nova XL brings light closer to the task without requiring the lamp base to sit immediately beside the page. The articulated arm and movable light head suit a desk where the work shifts between a keyboard, printed material and a small project area. Its black finish and slim links keep the visual profile restrained.
The wireless charging base gives a compatible phone a designated place on the desk. It remains a powered lamp and charger, so allow access to an outlet and place the base where the charging area stays clear. Charging compatibility depends on the device and case, not simply on the phone fitting on the base.
Features
- Extended XL geometry: adds two inches of height and approximately four inches of reach compared with the standard Nova.
- LED light guide: spreads illumination across the task area rather than exposing a row of bright points.
- Constant-torque hinges: hold the arm position while allowing adjustment by hand.
- Touch dimming and memory: let you choose brightness and return to the previous setting when powering on.
- Occupancy sensor: switches the light off after an inactive period to reduce unnecessary use.

Common questions
How does XL differ from the standard Nova?
Humanscale’s Nova brochure lists longer upper and lower arms for XL, with approximately four inches of additional reach. The XL version is intended to reach farther across the work area.
Will the wireless base charge every phone?
No. The phone must support a compatible wireless charging method. Case thickness, added metal accessories and device alignment can affect charging.
Can I change the color temperature?
The referenced Nova specification is 3000 K. Touch dimming changes brightness; this listing does not promise adjustable color temperature.
Does the occupancy sensor replace the touch control?
It adds automatic shutoff when the work area is inactive. You still have touch control for power and preferred brightness.
