- Product type
- Dual-monitor arm system with 12-inch post
Description
M/Flex gathers two screen supports around one central post, making it easier to arrange a main display and a reference display without two large monitor bases on the desk. Each arm can be positioned to suit its screen rather than forcing both displays onto a single fixed line.
This product belongs to the original M/Flex and M2 arm family. Its model code and included mounting arrangement distinguish it from newer M/Flex M2.1 and Pro systems. Match accessories and replacement parts to the actual legacy components rather than relying only on the M/Flex name.
Features
- Two articulated arms: allow a separate position for each compatible display.
- 12-inch support post: provides a shared central mounting structure.
- Clamp and bolt-through options: offer alternative ways to attach the supplied assembly to a suitable desk.
- Silver and gray finish: matches the original M/Flex color specification.
- Adjustable arm tension: lets each dynamic link be balanced for its own screen load.

Clamp or bolt-through: choose for the desktop
The desktop must support the complete mounted assembly and both screens. Thin panels, glass surfaces and desks with large underside aprons need specific compatibility checks before installation.
| Desk-edge clamp | Requires a suitable exposed edge and access below the worktop. |
|---|---|
| Bolt-through mounting | Requires a suitable opening and hardware installation through the worktop. |
| Two-screen layout | Check the combined screen width and the room behind the desk for folded arms. |
| Cable routing | Leave slack for each screen’s movement instead of tightly binding cables to the post. |
Common questions
Can I use it with newer M/Flex accessories?
Do not assume all generations share every connector. Confirm the accessory against the original M2/M/Flex hardware and this exact model code.
How much can each arm support?
The original M/Flex instructions state that a monitor on an M2 arm must not exceed 20 lb. Check stand-free screen weight, added adapters and mounting geometry; newer M2.1 or Pro ratings describe other generations.
Will two large monitors sit side by side?
That depends on screen width, rear mounting location and available arm travel. Measure the complete display housings and plan the intended angle before purchasing.
Can the monitors be adjusted separately?
Yes. The two articulated arms provide independent positioning. Adjust each arm’s tension for its own monitor and check movement after routing the cables.
